Ascent Music Education provides piano, voice, and guitar lessons in Lexington, Kentucky.

Meet the Owner.

Hey, I’m Peyton!

I’m so happy that you’ve found Ascent Music Education! I own and operate this studio in Lexington, as well as teach piano and voice lessons. Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. By God’s grace, my parents enrolled me in private voice lessons in the seventh grade. That decision led me to where I am today. After years of excellent coaching and teaching, I graduated from Lee University. I have a bachelor’s degree in music with a vocal emphasis. I’ve been trying to give back through teaching piano and voice ever since!

My heart for Ascent Music Education is to ensure a student’s success in whatever instrument they choose – whether piano, guitar, or voice. All students learn differently, and that is why we tailor our teaching with each unique individual in mind.

If you speak to any of my current students, you would find that a question I frequently ask is, “Are you having fun?” That’s intentional. Music is complex. It takes hard work and focus. But, the most important thing is that students walk away with an appreciation and love for music that they didn’t have before.

Music has the power to change and impact lives in ways that I’ll never be able to explain. It’s an honor to play a small role.
